|Gering journalists take state title|

It came as somewhat of a surprise, but last week the newspaper and yearbook staff at Gering High School learned they had won the 2012 State Journalism Championship for Class B schools.
Coming up on May 6 – 7 in Lincoln, 14 qualifying Gering students will compete in the State Journalism competition in 15 different categories.
