|Combined museums choose new name|

Photo by Jerry Purvis/Gering Citizen On Monday, the boards of the North Platte Valley Museum (NPVM) and the Farm And Ranch Museum (FARM) announced the name “Legacy of the Plains” for their new organization. “Legacy of the Plains” will be the new organizational name when the North Platte Valley Museum and the Farm And Ranch Museum combine at one location.
The museums received more than 100 entries for the new name, and after much discussion and research, Gering resident Kathleen Cox was chosen for submitting the winning entry.
