No doubt the year 2012 will be remembered in the west as the year of devastating fires. As of this past weekend, the ‘High Park’ fire west of Fort Collins, Colorado has decimated nearly 60,000 acres and is claimed to be the third largest and most destructive forest fire on record in Colorado.
