|Sheriff asks to purchase patrol cars|

When budget cuts forced the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s office to forgo the purchase of two new patrol cars, the county board told the sheriff he could purchase the cruisers if he found the money elsewhere.
Sheriff Mark Overman asked the county board for permission to purchase the patrol cars after more than $100,000 turned up in what Overman called “found money.”
