|Council rejects cost of lowering landfill height|

By a unanimous vote on Monday night, the Gering City Council rejected a proposal to lower the height of the Gering landfill because it could cost upwards of two million dollars.
Jennifer Hoevet, an engineer with SCS Aquaterra, outlined a possible solution to the Gering landfill height problem for members of the city councilís Public Works Committee last week. She made the same presentation to the full council on Monday.
