Current military, veterans and their families are invited to Frank Park in Scottsbluff on Sunday, Aug. 11 from 4 – 7 p.m. as the Panhandle chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisory pays tribute to their service.
Dave Tuzson with Ohio National Financial Services is one of the event’s organizers. “This is something our professional association is doing just to say thanks to the military and their families for their service to our country,” he said.
A barbecue has been scheduled for the event. All three of the mayors will be in attendance and Gering Mayor Ed Mayo has volunteered to be in the dunk tank.
The Veterans Upward Bound program at Western Nebraska Community College is organizing live music for the event and the Scottsbluff Armory will have some of their military vehicles on display for the kids to inspect.
There will be fun activities and games for the kids, and it will also be an opportunity to meet our new Miss Nebraska, JaCee Pilkington.
For more information, veterans may contact Tuzson at (308) 635-1094.
