In spite of some unexpected harsh weather, the area’s dry edible bean harvest is getting done pretty much on schedule.
The bean harvest usually runs the last two weeks of August through the first two weeks of October so this year’s crop has been brought in. The recent snowstorm over the northern Panhandle has caused wet conditions in areas like Hay Springs. Although it delayed harvest, no beans were lost because of the storm. But p...
