Joyful Noise Daycare Center at Gering Zion Church is hosting their third annual Season of Love fundraiser this Saturday.
The event will happen on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 4 – 6 p.m. at the church, 11th and O Streets in Gering. Center Director Krystie Hohnstein said the kids will perform songs, dancing and other entertainment. A bounce house for the kids will also be featured.
“We’ll have a dessert bar and beverages,” Hohnstein said. “Our board members and some of the parents and teachers have also put together gift baskets to be raffled. Gift certificates to local businesses, an annual pass the Riverside Discovery Center and framed photographs will also be included in the raffle.”
Season of Love is the daycare center’s major fundraising project to keep their services available to the public. “We get calls almost everyday asking if we have room,” Hohnstein said. “There’s a real need for daycare in the community, especially among the younger infant and toddler group.”
She added that Joyful Noise is close to full, but some spaces are still available.
Tickets to the fundraiser are $5 for individuals or $20 for a family, and are available at the door, from any of the Joyful Noise family members or at the center.
