As the weather gets warm, you might notice your property needs some landscaping improvements. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to brighten up the landscape, but it does take some planning and choosing the right material so showcase your property.

Randy Kleager with the Rock Pile in Gering said pavers are inexpensive and can do wonders for establishing a pathway through heavily trafficked areas. Also, pavers can be used for an outdoor patio or a retaining wall or even an outdoor fireplace.

Flagstone is also available in a wide variety of colors, along with crushed concrete and crushed recycled asphalt for driveways and parking lots.

“Decorative rock is also a good landscaping choice and we carry lots of it, even up to boulder size,” he said. “We probably have the largest assortment of boulders in the area.”

Kleager said they also carry 10 different varieties and colors of mulch to match any landscape scheme, whether around trees or in gardens. And certified playground mulch is available for play areas.

“Pretty much everything we carry can be used in the spring when the weather gets nice,” he said.

The Rock Pile is located at 2764 7th St. in Gering.
