|Gering alumni give generously to GHS band program|

When Gering’s Class of 1964 hosted its 50th class reunion during Oregon Trail Days, they decided to have a silent auction to help fund new uniforms for the high school band.
“One of the top selling items was a jar of pickles for $60,” said class member and former Gering City Council member Alice Wineman.
“I was also in the band when Don Childs was the director,” she said.
