|Local tourism could benefit from LB 419 support|

Local tourism professionals were in Lincoln last week to testify before the Legislature’s Revenue Committee on behalf of LB 419.
The proposed legislation would exempt the state’s four nationally accredited zoos and aquariums from sales and use taxes. They are the Riverside Zoo in Scottsbluff, the Lee Simmons Safari Park in Ashland, the Lincoln Children’s Zoo and the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha.
