|Goonie’s sees keno success, plans move to Gering|

Jerry Purvis/Gering Citizen Jim Gompert of Scottsbluff (left) turned his keno hobby into a big payout, winning $10,432.50 at Goonie’s Kozy Keno Bar and Grill in Terrytown. Owner Paul Guhn was there for a “big-check” presentation.
Paul Guhn, owner of Goonie’s Kozy Keno Bar and Grill in Terrytown, recently made an even bigger name for himself. Last fall, his Goonie Burger garnered the Best Burger title at the Nebraska State Fair.
Adding to Goonie’s fame, one customer won a significant sum playing keno last week. Guhn also made the announcement that next month, his restaurant will move to Gering where he will rename and refurbish the Oregon Trail Lounge.
