Holscher dominates home invite

Frank Marquez/Gering Citizen Ariana Guel, half of Gering’s top doubles team with Sheridan Blanco, returns a serve back across the net to their McCook opponents last Friday.

Scottsbluff Senior Zoe Holscher played a dominating tennis match at No. 1 singles, winning all six of her games for 24 points to finish first at the school’s home invitational on April 23.

Holscher finished fourth at the state Class B tournament in 2015, losing only two games during the competition.

As a team, Scottsbluff ended up with 61 points to place second among the seven teams competing. The invitational title ...
