Jerry Purvis/Gering Citizen Students from the University of Michigan with their car, the Aurum, were the first to arrive at the Scotts Bluff National Monument on Friday, Aug. 5.
Area media, including a foreign documentary team, gathered at Scotts Bluff National Monument Aug. 5 as 12 futuristic, low profile solar powered cars rolled into the visitor center parking lot for their second to last stop on the American Solar Challenge (ASC).
