The tournament raises money to support their brother Jason’s love of children through donations to CAPWN, and by raising funds for a reward designed to help bring their brother’s killer to justice.
GERING — The fifth annual Jason Vesper Golf Tournament was held Saturday at the Monument Shadows Golf Course, with 151 golfers participating. The winning foursome in the tournament included, Mike O'Donnell, Steve Redman, Tim Francois and Paul Selchow. Catering was provided by Gabe’s Barbecue.

Monies raised through the tournament are distributed in two ways. CAPStone will receive $5,000 to support its efforts with children. An additional $2,500 was raised for the Jason Vesper Memorial reward fund, designed to encourage anyone with information about the 2008 case to come forward. The reward has now reached $12,500 and will be distributed to informants providing key elements that lead to a conviction of Jason Vesper’s assailant.

Anyone with information about the Vesper case should contact the Scottsbluff Police Department at (308) 630-6261 or Crime Stoppers at (308) 632-7866.
