SCOTTSBLUFF - After last week’s loss to Cheyenne, the WESTCO Zephyrs rebounded in a big way with and 11-1 home victory against Chadron last Thursday at Cleveland Field.
Pitcher Beau Lofink recorded 12 strikeouts in the game, and along with Leighton Freeze, posted a two-hitter for their fourth win of the young season. Ty Dunkel led the Zephyrs with a double and a triple.

On Saturday, the Zephyrs were at home to host the Nebraska Transport Company Tournament. After a 3-2 setback to the Wheatland Lobos that afternoon, the Zephyrs regrouped to post a 6-3 win against the Rapid City Expos that evening.
Ty Wilson got his first victory in the Rapid City game as he relieved starting pitcher Rogelio Gurrola. Wilson pitched three innings of scoreless and hitless baseball.

On offense, the Zephyrs’ Jacob Schmid went 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and a run batted in.
The Zephyrs came back strong on Sunday, handing Rapid City another defeat, 8-5. That afternoon, they beat Ogallala 8-2 to post a 3-1 record for the tournament.
