GERING — Gering- BG Sports Entertainment in association with Caddies Bar and Grill presents Knockdown in G-Town II at Five Rocks Amphitheater. Last October, the event drew over 700 people to Five Rocks Amptheater and promises not to disappoint with this event. Headlining this year’s event will be Scottsbluff’s own Rene “The Beast” Marquez against Denver, Colo. native Lynel Burton.

“It is an honor for me to box in front of my hometown fans, especially after struggling in school as a youngster. I want to thank this community especially Mr. Hubbard and educators at GHS for believing in me. I plan on making this city proud on June 8,” said Marquez.

Other local fighters include: Al Martinez, Chris Seucedo, Omar Pena, Javier Conde. There will be seven fight pro Nebraska boxing cards that will be sure to draw a large crowd to Five Rocks this Saturday. Tickets for the event are $15, with mid level seating $20, and ringside $30. Tickets can be purchased by calling (308) 672-7307.
