Senior ladies open golf season

MITCHELL — The Panhandle Senior Ladies Golf Association held their first outing of the year at Scenic Knolls Golf Course in Mitchell on Monday, June 17. Winning first place and acquiring two birdies was the team of Mary Nielsen, Jane Kelly, MaryAnn Brothers, and Sharon Havley.

Placing second and also shooting two birdies was the team of Terry Espinoza, Sharon Nuss, Sally Plover, and Myrna Carroll. Third place finishers Sandy Huckfeldt, Jane Holechek, Sharon Davis, and Margaret Lienemann managed to get one birdie during their round. The team of Vickie Nemnich, Kay Snyder and Donna Engleman made one birdie as did the team of Connie Booth, Sylvia Debus, Norma Perkins, and Jean Stormoe.

Hole prizes went to Jane Holechek, Lyn Schukei, Sharon Nuss, Gail Magers, Kay Snyder, and Donna Engleman.
The group’s next outing will be July 1at Skyview Golf Course in Alliance. Please call (308) 762-1446 no later than Wednesday, June 26, to register for play. New members 50 and older are welcome to join at any time during the season. GHIN handicap is required.
