Just looking at the Bayard Tigers and the ferocity in their faces, leaves one to believe the hope is huge for 2013.
“I believe that the school pride is showing itself throughout in our community. The support has been great,” said Head Coach Randy McKibbin. “Encouraging words seem to come often and from a variety of places.”

Even with the adversity of new facilities, Bayard has continued to push on often practicing in what may be sub-par facilities.
“The construction of our new football/track facility has put a hamper on our practices but we are getting through it as best as we can,” said McKibbin.

Bayard is a C-2 sized school with 41 players as of now. The program continues to grow annually.

“Coach Philep Willey did such a great job with the football program while he was here and our staff just wants to keep it moving forward,” said McKibbin. “Obviously there are changes in the X's and O's, but we are all on the same page in making our season a positive one.”

Bayard obviously looks forward to their first challenge of Cambridge and then North Platte St. Patrick’s.
“The team has done a good job of learning as much as they can in this short amount of practice time,” said McKibbin. “The team is dead set on having a good year and reaching goals that have been set.”
