GERING—The Gering Platte Valley Companies Legion baseball team was scheduled to play in North Platte last Wednesday. The weather had a different idea as the game was cancelled due to a thunderstorm. Gering is scheduled to play Buckley at Chappell this Wednesday in a double header starting at 4 p.m. The scores of this game will not be available at press time. Looking ahead, the Legion area tournament will be held at Alliance July 18-22. The seeding and game times have not yet been decided. Look for results of the Buckley game and the area tournament in next week’s Ctizen.
