Hwy 92 Raceway hits mid-season

The Hwy 92 Raceway Park east of Gering has hit the middle of the season. “We really need more spectators,” said track owner Lee Schwartzkopf. “We put on a quality entertainment show that lasts about three hours. People always say there is nothing to do here, well there is something to do for a reasonable price.”
The cost of the races on Friday is $12 for adults, children 6-11 is $6, and less than age 6 are free. Concessions are available. The track is located on Hwy 92 between Gering and Melbeta.

There are a total of six classes of cars at Hwy 92 Raceway Park: Bumble Bees, Karts, Vintage, Super Stocks, Limited Late Models and Pure Stock. The drivers earn points depending on how they place in the races. The results that follow are as of July 18.

The leader of the Bumble Bees in car #6 is James Moody with 363 points. Second is Skyler Mount 329 points, 3RD Chris Donaldson 283 points, 4TH Ray Tanner 244 points, 5TH Clayton Freat 189 points, 6TH Bo McVay 188 points, 7TH Robert Jacobs 133 points, 8TH Brittany Kampbell 130 points, 9TH John Ritts 59 points, 10TH Weiss 36 points, 11TH Ken Moore 35 points, 12TH Brandon Douglas 31 Points.

The leader of the Karts in car #20 is Randy Avolio with 227 points. Second is Mike Denham 223 points, 3RD is Chris Donaldson 204 points, 4TH is Brandy Kessler 175 points, 5TH is David Reid 162 points, 6TH Ken Moore 133 points, 7TH John Fowlkes 131 points, 8TH is Trenton Paben 129 points, 9TH is Daniel Grundfest 128 points, 10TH is Allen Cress 110 points, 11TH is Shawn Donaldson 42 points, 12TH is Donte Rios 25 points, and 13TH is Aaron Wurm 9 points.

The leader of the vintage class in car #49 is Brian Harden with 138 points. Second is Kelly Kissler with 131 points, 3RD is Rod Graves Jr. 123 points, 4TH Rod Graves Sr. 99 points, and 5TH Larry Collins 54 points.

The leader of the Super Stocks in car #66 is Allen Strawn with 304 points. Second is Kacey Buskirk with 304 points, 3RD Killer Kampbell 238 points, 4TH James Hintergardt 236 points, 5TH John Mason 209 points, 6TH Miller Brothers 195 points, 7TH Clarence Hayes 163 points, 8TH Greg Elliott 159 points, 9TH Loren Jessen 100 points, 10TH Loren Urwin 77 points, 11TH Joni Cowan 56 points, 12TH Chad Cowan 56 points, 13TH Kyle Pattee 53 points, 14TH Kent Stubbe 51 points, 15TH Clyde Blanton 50 points, 16TH Davie Urwin 40 points, 17TH Scott Long 35 points, and 18TH Tim Bloomenkamp 32 points.

The leader of the Limited Late Models in car #14 is Dan Long with 53 points. Second is Scott Long 53 points, 3RD Mark Butcher 48 points, and 4TH Mark Huber 11 points.

The leader of the Pure Stock in car #29 is Dennis Green with 66 points. Second is Logan Weiss 63 points, and 3RD is Tim Bloomenkamp with 36 points.
