Sam Rahmig - Gering
Class B girls’ golf state champion Jordan York of Scottsbluff and fifth-place finisher Sam Rahmig of Gering have been named to the 2014 Nebraska High School Super-State Girls Golf Team.

Super-State is an all class honor determined annually by the Nebraska Coaches Association’s Golf Sports Advisory Committee.
York, a four-time state qualifier for Scottsbluff, was the Class B individual medalist after she finished the two-day tournament with a score of 159 for a two-stroke victory. York also led the Bearcats to their second straight Class B state
team title and their state-record seventh in 12 years.

York finished the season with seven medalist titles, leading the Bearcats to eight team championships that included the District B-4 and state titles.
Rahmig finished in a tie for fifth place at the state tournament after she won the District B-4 medalist honor. Rahmig also won her second straight Best of the West Classic medalist title.

Both Rahmig and York finished their careers with three individual state medals. Rahmig tied for seventh as a junior and tied for 14th as a sophomore. York was ninth as a junior and tied for 15th as a freshman; she missed out on the top-15 medals her sophomore year with a tie for 19th place.

Classification comparisons are based solely on the athletes’ performance at the NSAA State Championships. Considerations included course par, total yardage, rating, and slope and weather conditions each day.

If the top five or more finishers within a classification are selected to the Super-State team, there are no All-State selections for the classification.
Based on Super State selections, one athlete in Class C received All-State honors.
Super-State: Ashton Boldt, Minden; Krirsten Baete, Beatrice; Makenzie Fuss, Omaha Marian; Callie Hawkins, Gretna; Katie Irvin, Papillion-La Vista; Lidia Jons, Lincoln Southwest; Melissa Kyncl, Boone Central; Sara Larsson, Plattsmouth;
