The Lady Bulldogs were defeated 9-1 on Tuesday against the Lady Bearcats.
The Scottsbluff soccer girls downed the Gering girls 9-1 on Tuesday night. Scottsbluff’s Kelli Wentz and Morgan Smith had hat tricks scoring three goals each. Kaylee Bentley scored two goals. Last but not least Brianna Villagrano had one goal.

Scottsbluff Coach Chad Larson said “I was extremely proud of them tonight. They executed our game plan almost to perfection. I give all of the credit to the girls; they have been working really hard. They came out and they tried to spread the field as much as they could, they combined their passes together and they did a great job doing that.”

Gering’s one goal was scored by Jaylee Staman, assisted by Katie Martindale. Gering Coach Lisa Freeburg said simply "Scottsbluff played better than we did tonight. We are working on defending in the middle and how to position ourselves on defense. Those are the things we have been working on all year. We will continue to work on them.”
In other action this week the Bearcats took out Newcastle last Tuesday with another high scoring game, winning 9-3. On Friday, Scottsbluff got the win against Torrington 3-0. The good times against Wyoming teams came to an end as Scottsbluff fell hard to the Cheyenne East Thunderbirds 8-0. Scottsbluff gave up six goals in the first half and never recovered. The T-Birds added two more goals in the second to close out the game.

Scottsbluff is now 7-7 for the season and 2-4 in the district with both district wins coming against Gering. Gering is now 4-10 on the year and 1-5 in their district with their only district win being against Scottsbluff.
