Host Scottsbluff wins invitational title in extra innings final

SCOTTSBLUFF — In an exciting last-minute rally, the Scottsbluff Bearcats pushed past the Gering Bulldogs, forcing an extra-inning win at their home tournament last weekend, for a 5-0 tourney record. Both Scottsbluff and Gering performed well throughout the tournament.

The two teams will meet again Thursday at the Carpenter Center in Terrytown before heading to the North Platte Invitational on Saturday. Friday’s scores
