TORRINGTON — Five student athletes from Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington have qualified to compete at the College National Finals Rodeo to be held in Casper, Wyo. at the Casper Events Center June 14-20.

Qualifying in team roping are: Logan Milligan, freshman, Torrington, with partner Denum Santero, sophomore, Minatare; Blaine Finney, freshman, Ainsworth, Neb. with partner Seth Anderson from Gillette College; Trey Yates, sophomore, Pueblo, Colo. with partner Brit Ellerman from the University of Wyoming; and Levi O’Keeffe, sophomore, Mohall, N.D. with partner Brady Wakefield from Gillette College.

“In the final day at the UW rodeo we had several students with a chance at a CNFR qualification. To end up with these five great ropers qualifying is very exciting,” said Coach Jake Clark. “They have been fun to watch all year. I like our chances at the CNFR. Levi and Trey are returning qualifiers, this is Denum’s first qualification and Blaine and Logan are just freshman so it is great to see them make it their first year.”
