The Chase County Longhorns held off the visiting Mitchell Tigers, 36-35, in the last game of the regular season. With the win, Chase County improves to 7-1 on the season as the Longhorns head into post-season. Edged out of the playoffs in the heartbreak loss, Mitchell drops to 5-3 on the year.

St. Patrick’s 34

The Bayard Tigers were shutout 34-0 in a league challenge last Friday, by the St. Patrick’s Irish (North Platte). The Irish (8-1) will now prepare for the Sutton Mustangs who come into the non-league challenge with a single loss after nine games. Last week, Sutton trounced the Superior Tigers, 36-0, in a conference game. The Tigers are 2-7.

Hyannis 92

The host Hyannis Longhorns defeated the Minatare Indians, 92-28 in league play. The Indians end the season with a 3-5 overall record, 2-3 in district.

The Perkins County Plainsmen scored 73 points, shutting out the visiting Morrill Lions in a district win on Friday. The Plainsmen head into the post-season undefeated w
