The Bulldogs were led by Morgan Broussard, who turned in a triple-double performance of 18 assists, 12 kills and 10 digs.

The title match is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3 at Bayard High School, where the Bulldogs will take on the second-ranked Sidney Red Raiders. It will be the fourth meeting of the year for both teams, with Sidney winning two of the last three matches.

Sidney advanced to the championship game with a five-set win over Scottsbluff in Ogallala on Nov. 1. The Bearcats had rallied late in the fourth set to even the match. In the fifth set, it was a 7-7 tie until Sidney scored eight of the next 10 points to put away the win. The final tally was 24-26, 25-19, 25-13, 20-25, 15-9.

Morgan Westphal led the Scottsbluff hitting attack with 20 kills and teammate Morgan Yost chipped in another 15. Both Morgans posted double-doubles, Westphal with 14 digs and Yost with 10.
