Horeshoe pitchers to host qualifying tourney

The Western Nebraska Charter of the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association, Iron Chukars, and the Cheyenne County Horseshoe Pitchers Club, is hosting a membership qualification with a tournament to follow on Jan. 16 and Feb. 20 at 10 a.m. The location is 180244 Farmstead Road in Scottsbluff.

During the drive, members will help pitchers get their average, then pitch toward qualification for the State Tournaments. Scottsbluff will be hosting the State Horseshoe Pitching Tournament on Sept. 3-5.

The group currently has a 5X State Champion, 2x State Champion (Female) who has won 2 (14, 15) consecutive years (first 2 ever pitched), 1 World Class Champion (15) also State Champion (14).

Initial cost for an annual Membership is $24with $5 tournament fee.
