Area All State athletes announced

The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) announced the student recipients of the Winter 2015-16 Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association (NCPA) Academic All-State Awards. Each year the NSAA and the NCPA recognize students during fall, winter and spring seasons who are nominated by their schools for their individual academic excellence, leadership and significant contributions in their NSAA activity.

Area students awarded for winter achievements are, MaKenna Dahlgrin and Savannah Jordan, Banner County Girls Basketball, and Megan Gifford, Speech. In Bayard, Juan Acosta, Joseph Ferrero, Boys Basketball; Lauren Petersen, and Miah Vera, Girls Basketball; Catherine Applegate, and RyAnne Blau, Speech; Alexander Araujo, and Mitchell McKibbin, Wrestling. In Gering, Brent Barge, and Tyler Pszanka, Boys Basketball; Allie Boggs, and Courtney Conn in Girls’ Basketball; Devan Hawkins, and Collin Potts in Speech; Jonathon Hastings in Boys’ Swimming. In Mitchell, Colby Eberspecher, and Joseph Pieper, Boys’ Basketball; Jori Peters, and Madison Watson, Girls’ Basketball; David Miller, and Darryn Walters, Wrestling. In Scottsbluff, Matthew Holloway, and Jonah Wright, Boys Basketball; Zoe Holscher, and Avery Krentz, Girls Basketball; Nikki Mobley, and Emily Ostdiek, Speech; Megan Hayhurst, and Hailey Sanderson, Girls’ Swimming; Mario Ybarra, Wrestling.
