About 600 people showed up for the fourth annual United Way of Western Nebraska Color Dash through downtown Gering on May 21. United Way Special Events Coordinator Jeana Allen said the numbers were down from previous years, partly due to graduations and Mother’s Day. Still, United Way was able to raise about $8,000 to assist local service organizations.
