The Gering Bulldogs volleyball team ended the season at 9-25 overall with a 3-0 loss to the Ogallala Indians in their final regular season match Tuesday night on the road.

Ogallala improved to 29-3.

“Ogallala played very well,” Gering Head Coach David Lashley said about the straight set defeat, 25-11, 25-9, and 25-12. “They had very few errors. We served decently and hit fairly well but they brought up pretty much everything we threw at them. I thought our kids gave a good effort and just found it tough to hang with a good team playing really well. We served 94 percent, which is our highest all year and served pretty tough, but they are a very experienced team and pass very well. We have to recapture our energy and play with more excitement. Hopefully we can do that against Sidney next week.”

The Bulldogs will compete in the B-8 District Tournament on Tuesday in Sidney. The official pairings were released on Wednesday.
